I write all sorts of resources for primary and secondary pupils. Have done supply on the full range for more than 10 years now and always come fully armed with resources for my lessons. I aim particularly at the lower groups who are strugglers. Secondary resources have been created for PRU pupils and they have worked REALLY well. The phonics resources were written for a number of pupils that I tutor after school hours and I have had great results.

B AND D REVERSALS

In every class in a primary school there will be a pupil( or two or three) who mixes up b and d causing problems with reading and spelling. It is often the task of the TA to help the pupil with this problem. Herewith a set of 18 worksheets that can be used to help a pupil overcome b / d reversals. I have thoroughly researched the problem and devised worksheets in line with the latest thinking. I have collected ideas from all over the world and adapted them for your use in the classroom.

This set of30 A5 'cards' can be used as follows: 1.to improve vocabulary and spelling. The pages could be printed as worksheet for the children to fill in or they could be laminated and cut into A5 size cards for use during literacy lessons. 2. As a worksheet they are useful for homework to improve spelling and vocabulary. 3. I have used them with older (Year 4 – 6 ESL) pupils to build their vocabulary in one to one sessions. They are useful because all the key vocabulary has a matching picture so that the pupils can see what the word means.
